Pharmacy Technician Course
This comprehensive, 40-hour course prepares you to enter the pharmacy field in a hospital, or commercial pharmacy as a technician under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. Course content focuses on learning medical terminology specific to the pharmacy, reading and interpreting prescriptions, and defining drugs by generic and brand names. You'll learn dosage calculations, IV flow rates, drug compounding, and dose conversions. Dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control, billing and reimbursement also are discussed. Prerequisites; You must be 18 or older, have a high school diploma/ HSED and have no felony convictions. This course is approved by the Indiana State Pharmacy Board and upon meeting all the course requirements,students can apply for the Indiana Pharmacy Technician License.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
The need for dependable, qualified caregivers is growing as the elderly population grows. There are opportunities ranging from hospitals to home health agencies to long term care facilities. The Certified Nursing Assistant, CNA, plays an important role. The basic CNA Training Program, offered through the Community & Continuing Education Office, prepares the student for immediate employment as a nursing assistant. A high school diploma or HSED is not required. Accredited by the North Central Association and the Indiana State Board of Health.
*Must be able to add and subtract simple equations.
*Be able to read and write in English.
*Pass state test upon completion.
